My upbringing as the daughter of immigrants, living in the heart of the innovation hub known as the Silicon Valley, has given me a unique perspective on the area's evolution. I grew up in East Menlo Park, long before tech giants like Google and Facebook (Meta) dominated the landscape. Throughout these changes, one aspect of my life has always remained uncertain: housing. The pursuit of affordable housing has been a constant concern for my parents and me, a concern that continues to shape my beliefs today.
Believing in the transformative power of advocating for affordable housing and a progressive pathway to citizenship, I have become passionate about these causes, especially within the Bay Area. By championing these issues, we can strive to ensure financial and emotional stability for the families in our community.
The proximity of living right next to a MidPen community has granted me the opportunity to witness firsthand the profound impact that high-quality affordable housing has on families. Each day, I am inspired by the positive changes it brings to their lives, reinforcing my dedication to this important cause.
